LindaH to the recue. Haven’t done any of these, but it’s nice to know I can without any additional expense.

They are a pain to do - you have to go looking for the VIN #s on the vehicle, get the odometer reading, etc etc - there’s a special form to fill out for them. I don’t like doing them and when I get these calls I let the caller know they can pay me $xx (or $xxx if outside my county) to come out and do that or they can call their local sheriff, who in my area will come out and do it for free.
When we moved here in 2006 we have 7 titles to be verified - the deputy came out and took care of them all - thought he was the nicest guy til he knocked over our feeder for the purple martins as he was leaving. ('nother story for 'nother thread…lol)
