Keep in mind printers are like cars and come with mileage (or page count in this case). If they don’t list the page count, don’t buy it unless its refurbished by a factory authorized rep. which usually comes with a factory type warranty.

I am a die hard HP fan. I recently upgraded to an all in one laser jet (color - but the default is set to B&W) that I got off of eBay and found my second tray there as well. There was nothing wrong my existing HP just wanted less equipment in my office and to be able to print wireless from my phone, tablet, laptop etc.
For single tray printers, if you have the drop down for envelopes you can make that the legal tray, since in my experience I print way less legal pages. I did that until I could find a second tray of my older HP printer.
