Printing with Adobe Acrobat

I do not have a dual tray printer. I’m not ready to invest money yet for that. I have a Brother single tray laser printer though. It works well but I’m not able to get docs printed right. In the Adobe print dialogue, there is a checkbox, “Choose paper source by PDF page size” . Does this only work for dual tray printers? Why can’t it work if I put letter size paper into my one tray and check the box? The Adobe program should just skip any legal sized pages in the document right? It doesn’t do this. It just prints out all 150 pages onto letter. I have the Actual size selected. I have selected the paper size on my printer as letter. If I change the paper size to legal on the printer, and attempt to print the docs with the Choose paper size box checked it will print letter sized pages onto the legal sized paper.

I downloaded the acrobat DC program too. Does anyone know why it won’t work?

The option does work with dual-tray printers, pulling the right paper size for each page. I haven’t tried using the option on a single-tray printer in a long time, so I don’t remember how it used to work in that situation.

Won’t work because it needs each tray size-designated…and you only have 1 tray. Go to NotaryRotary and use their ‘pdf sorter’. It’s free to use.

Thank you for the resource Arichter. I’ll give it a try. :>
