Good historical infographic… BUT, it’s really too old to be of any value in today’s notary-saturated, low volume market. Coincidentally, 2017 and 2020, (the years contained is the self-reported survey) happen to be my personal 2 best years ever.
And neither of those were anywhere near 6 figures due to the area’s (lack of) population density. Altho’ I haven’t kept records, for the last 2 years, I’ve declined 9 out of 10 offers as they would actually cost me more to do the job than I’d receive AND mostly my counters aren’t accepted because 1 of the 2000% increase in competition has taken the loss. Heh… only reason I’m still here is for the random good-paying CALL from a client or an accepted counter to ‘fix-the-mess’ the $65 newb created.
@Arichter Hmmm . . .
Did you miss the one from LAST YEAR (2023)?

FROM PREVIOUS POST ABOVE:
Here is the infographic overview of the 2023 results in PDF file (29 pages) format:

Yes, I did miss that. Looks like most are retired women doing it (like me) due to the current inflationary economy. It’s a shame to see too many college-educated young people wasting their time in this field with no benefits and low pay, no employer to contribute half to your SS, etc., etc.
NOTE: The primary rationale behind posting this data is to reveal that the average monthly income for those providing Professional Signing Agent [PSA] services on a full-time basis ranges (on average) between $1K-$3K PER MONTH (per the data from the FY 2023 nationwide survey). Reference the actual data on the 29 pages.
This figure is NOWHERE NEAR a six-figure income.
ABSOLUTELY! percent!
This is a truly disappointing scenario that the critical thinking skills AREN’T activated nor the research skills that SHOULD be omnipresent for those with that level of edification & achievement.
