What should a NSA charge for scan-backs and faxes?

I’m sure others will chime in, but I don’t think its useful to go back and forth based on number of pages. They (various companies) are loath to pay for it anyway. So the less nickel and diming, the better, imo.
The question is: do you fax/scanback or not? and come up with a number you are comfortable with, knowing that sometimes it’ll be 10 pages or 50. I had a pushback today on a scanback surprise in my order! Went back and forth with them for 3 hours bc schedulers didn’t see it on the order. I was not sending until I got my increase approved.
My fee for scanbacks is the same as my print fee. And honestly, its still not worth it to me in time and aggravation. But I’m trying to be amenable…
@rimnotaryzone, I set a fee of $50.00 for scanbacks, but you can set first 100 or 200 pages. Then maybe adding additional after 100 or 200 pages. Example $2.00 after 200 or whatever fee you feel is fair.
Agree with dzcoles on all points. Keep it simple/flat rate. Get a fast scanner. Make your flat rate reasonable, but still profitable…or, at least , break even. Just remember, often you’ll have to do some extra driving home just to scan (time, mileage, gas). It is an aggravation as they usually want it RIGHT NOW and it can mess up a schedule real quick. It’s time/labor and NEVER FREE (tho’ they seem to think it should be).
I’m very thankful and blessed to have this forum where we can all gather and share information among my peers.
Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge and experiences to help us (especially Newbies) collectively become more knowledgeable, efficient and profitable in this profession.
