Just received a text for a signing. I answered. They said the fee was $70.00. They did not give enough info. Did not say how many pages to be printed. They did not respond and when I checked again it said this job -needed a witness. How do you ask them these questions through their texts or Snap Docs? They have their own basic information. How do you get paid. ? The client or the title company that is going through Snap Docs? I am totally confused. Can anyone explain to me simply what the procedures are when these title companies use Snap Docs once the job is accepted. Can I negotiate the price once it is accepted?

Be careful changing the price tag after accepting but if you accepted without knowing a witness was required - on snapdocs there is messaging in the order. It’s effective. You can also unassign yourself. If you can provide a witness send them a message and say you accepted the order but it did not specify a witness requirement and that charge is X. If they don’t want to pay a fee for a witness - I prefer to call and speak to someone if I’m going to decline an order after accepting. It’s considered bad form to do that so I like to do it in person if it’s necessary not via text. There’s a tab for "companies’ at the snapdoc portal that lists contact info if provided and should tell you what their terms are for payment. Vendor Pay is what many use. You get a notice of a deposit headed to your bank account. There are FL notaries on the forum I am not one.
