Is this Stripe payment option legit. I am uncomfortable giving access to my bank account. Newbie.

Yes, Stripe is a legitimate payment processing platform similar to PayPal, Shopify, etc. I know domain host GoDaddy.com uses Stripe as their payment platform and so does MeetUp.com. Other major businesses who use Stripe include Amazon, AliExpress, Apple, Etsy, Walmart, Target, Wayfair.
