Suggestions for New Loan Signing Agent Searching For Signing Services

That’s me, too. I don’t print it. I look at it but that’s all. I haven’t had a C2C assignment in forever. I think I’m still active but maybe I should look.

So when I looked up coast to coast and clicked on “website” it took me to snapdocs. Which seems to me back a couple of years ago they had their own website login.

Maybe things changed up for them. I learned a lot from them.

Good afternoon. I have been a notary for about almost 4 yrs, but I am also a Realtor in the lower part of Texas known as The Rio Grande Valley near the border. As we all know, the market has been very slow, so I am trying to get some work with my notary commission. May I ask what signing services you signed up for and what is real estate photography? Thank you for time.

It does depend on the policy. I carry a larger Professional liability policy that covers Notarial acts as well as any loan sigining duties. I don’t carry the larger policy becasue I think I will do something so egregious that I will need it, I carry it becasue of what somebody may say you did. Doesn’t matter if you did anything wrong or not, if you have to defend yourself in court you have to pay for that unless you have a liabiltiy policy that covers attorney fees, which I do. We live in a very letigious society and we should be mindful of that and protect ourselves. Civil suites require far less burden of proof than a criminal case would. Many people think that having an LLC will shield the Notary from personal liability, but it doesn’t. LLC or not, notaries can be held personally liable. Without the proper coverage you and your family could pay the price (no pun intended) for your actions, or those you’re accused of doing. An LLC only gives you some shielding for signing agent duties, such as business debts and certain lawsuits but does not cover the professional mistakes you make, leaving you liable for those. As a notary and a signing agent we are taking a great responsibility on ourselves to serve in this capacity, with that responsibility also comes great risk and every notary should evaluate those risk and protect themselves and their family appropriately, as you see fit.

snapdocs.com notarydash.com signingorder.com signatureclosers.com timiosinc.com notarygo.com bankserv.net mortgageconnectlp.com townsgateclosing.com I’ve also registered at all national title company websites although several of them just take you to the signingorder website.

signwithjot.com also. I think that’s most of them. And real estate photography is actually just fielid inspection work where you take pictures of properties for lenders. proxypics and metroinspections. The pay is lousy. But it’s just filler income when I do it.

Did you sign up on snapdocs? Also try signature closers.

When I first started my notary business, I made over 400 phone calls to signing services, escrow, and title companies — many of them in other states — to introduce myself and express my interest in working with them. It took me more than two months to get through them all, but I treated it as an investment in my future.

The work didn’t come overnight, but slowly the jobs began to trickle in. Looking back, I can sum up what got me started in just two words: patience and tenacity.

Good job thanks for sharing to help new people in the business.

Thanks so much for your expert advice . I’ve signed up for 10 signing services thus far and 2 data base services and sent emails and made phone calls to them all introducing myself and stating what I bring to the table, . Since initially posting on this forum , I’ve landed a refinance , a seller’s and a purchase signing :raising_hands:..so prayerfully as I continue to do more marketing of myself , the work will continue to increase. Thank you again for your expert advice and I’ll be sure to continue to put all that you’ve stated into practice .

Hi Mona,
I’m a Georgia Notary/NSA as well, located in Monroe. May I ask, which company offered you the real estate photography gig?

Also, it does take time and, marketing. It will happen. Keep working the process.

I work full time, so I don’t have a lot of free time to do this, but I’m hanging in there regardless. If you would like to chat sometimes, reach out. Most evenings after 5. DRM Mobile Notary Services 470-948-5625.

Much Success,

Donna

Coming from someone who started this year. You need to sign up with more services. Most companies will not assign to newbies. I have heard people say it goes by location but that just isn’t true. They hire who they want. I had one person tell me I had an ego issue for reaching out to the companies and they wouldn’t give me the assignment if it were them hiring. I found that comment to be unprofessional. I did reach out to one company and they said they will assign something to me and see how I do with it. Keep trying and don’t give up. I know it is frustrating because I am right there with you.

Send me your e-mail address, I will send you a list of companies.

Admin@rme-notary.com Thank you!

Ha!! Good answer! Fake it ‘til you make it!

I would love to have that info as well. I would so appreciate it! Leanne@chooseLT.com

I put Presige Notary on Credit Hold for non-payment and slow payment, so unless they pay ACH or cashiers check in advance, I refuse to take assignments from them.

Earl, please send me the list

Thank you

I would love a copy too, if you don’t mind. notariesbycrystal@gmail.com

Welcome to the LS community. I too am very new only a few months in. I’ve signed up with over 100+ signing services as well as signingorder and snapdocs. I’m on notaryrotary, 123notary, and a few others I can’t think of right now. The middle of the month is normally slow but picks up towards then end of the month due to everyone trying to close before the month ends. After signing up with the signing service I sent each on an introduction email and specified I was new and provided the training programs I completed. Those that took the time to reply to me even if it was a simple Thank you we will add you, I put in a separate file and follow up with them with updates especially after I complete assignments so they know I am getting experience. I do get text a few times a week but mostly when I’m not available but I still respond so they know I am still active. If you don’t respond even to say your not available they think your no longer active. Good luck on your new journey the beginning is always rough and discouraging but pick say 10 companies a week and focus on them then the following week do another 10 before you know it they’ll be constant.

Hi Earl,

I would love to have this info as well if you’re willing to share! Pricemobilenotaryservices@gmail.com

Thanks,

Hi Mona,

Are you signed up on the signing platforms? Snapdocs, signingorder.com, notarydash

These are the platforms signing services use when they are looking for a notary. Signup with them and respond quickly when you see a signing notification, even if you aren’t able to do it so your name is seen. Good luck!
