Hi there (TX notary here)
In the last few months, I’ve been approached about RIN signings. As far as I knew, Texas was not a RIN state. I was just made aware today, that a law was actually amended in Jan. 2024, ,now allowing RIN in TX. Have any of my other fellow TX notaries been made aware of this?
My main question is, would we perform those RINs on the RON platforms we now use? If so, that would be quite difficult as the platform and the signing itself, requires a signature audit trail from the notary and the signer.
