I think Thumbtack is a joke. If someone contacts me, even if I don’t get the job, I have to pay Thumbtack. It used to be I would only pay if I contacted the person. That way I didn’t have to contact people who I didn’t want to work for. NOW, if they contact me I have to pay whether I get the job or not. FURTHERMORE, Thumbtack decided what they will charge me. It can be different every time. I no longer use TT. If they go back to the “old way” I will reconsider.
