@jennjoneis Hmmm . . .
Got it, use an âaâ. The word exists
Yes, notarial is the correct word! I am familiar with itâs spelling, meaning and correct grammatical usage.
I wish the biggest instructors in the notary world would only use the right word. I hear it every single day in my classes, in videos, everywhere. Another one that drives me crazy is âpower of attorneys.â Itâs powers of attorney. And then there are all the apostrophes placed where theyâre not needed. My list goes on and on.
I donât like hearing affidaviD. I donât know how the people who pronounce it like that would spell it, but I pronounce it with a t on the end.
What about advanced directive? Itâs advance directive!
Why is that? Is there a reason notaries shouldnât be expected to know their own basic lingo?
its, not itâs. Itâs is possessive.
Yes, I know. Even the best of us fall prey to auto correct and nimble fingers on occasion. Thank you for your service.
I think one of my favorites is âQuick Claim Deedâ.
I received notice that a comment I posted in jest was flagged as inappropriate as there were members of the community who took offense. I believe that a public humiliation is not deserving of a private apology. Therefore, I come before the community to state to all and especially those of you who took offense â I humbly, openly and fully apologize for my words.
@Tisino Iâm sorry that was done to you. IMO Iâve never known you to be offensive on this forum.
Yes, that one hurts my brain.
