Verb vs. noun rant

@jennjoneis Hmmm . . .

Got it, use an “a”. The word exists :slight_smile:

Yes, notarial is the correct word! I am familiar with it’s spelling, meaning and correct grammatical usage.

I wish the biggest instructors in the notary world would only use the right word. I hear it every single day in my classes, in videos, everywhere. Another one that drives me crazy is “power of attorneys.” It’s powers of attorney. And then there are all the apostrophes placed where they’re not needed. My list goes on and on.

I don’t like hearing affidaviD. I don’t know how the people who pronounce it like that would spell it, but I pronounce it with a t on the end.

What about advanced directive? It’s advance directive!

Why is that? Is there a reason notaries shouldn’t be expected to know their own basic lingo?

Yes, I know. Even the best of us fall prey to auto correct and nimble fingers on occasion. Thank you for your service.

I think one of my favorites is “Quick Claim Deed”.

I received notice that a comment I posted in jest was flagged as inappropriate as there were members of the community who took offense. I believe that a public humiliation is not deserving of a private apology. Therefore, I come before the community to state to all and especially those of you who took offense – I humbly, openly and fully apologize for my words.

@Tisino I’m sorry that was done to you. IMO I’ve never known you to be offensive on this forum.

Yes, that one hurts my brain.
