Well Known No Pay Signing Service Has A New Name

Cloud-READ-CAREFULLY—Blast-of-Reminders-08.28_.2024_.Final-Version_ (1).pdf (86.9 KB)

Cloud Signings has changed their name! They are now going by Mortgage Connect Closings.

I received 4 different signing offers from this new entity over the last 2 days. The fees offered were all within industry guidelines. They were for two seller signings, 1 buyer signing and one home equity line of credit. The HELOC was what made me ask questions, as we all know how much fun they can be in getting paid (terms and conditions as to if the loan is funded for payment to the notary).

When I emailed them with questions before accepting the signings they responded with the attached document as a part of their answer. If you notice, the PDF file is marked as CLOUD, and the telephone number in the document is one of the many posted online for Cloud Signings.

When I called the company to inquire if this was Cloud Signings with a new business name, they immediately hung up on me. They are currently sending offers through both SnapDocs and SigningOrder. Just an FYI. Be careful out there folks.

If I were them, I wouldn’t be using the words “Mortgage Connect”. Their reputation these days isn’t exactly stellar.

I was thinking the same thing. Why couldn’t they just use something like Acme Closings. Then again Acme might be trademarked by a certain coyote who is known for chasing a road runner.

Wrong, Their name is Cloud Signings, see https://cloudsignings.com/
If they used the name Mortgage Connect, they would get theirselves sued by Mortgage Connect.
Cloud signing is the worst anyways, are we still talking about them…

Sneaky changing names but other companies also change names. Search box on this web site helps with some research but Google also helps. Companies using bait and switch techniques are pond scum !!

Good to know! Thanks..
I used my LegalShield membership and got my money, however, I’m not doing any signings for them ever again.

I’m glad that you were able to be compensated for your work, even if it was delayed.

The signings I had accepted for Cloud Signing was through Signingorder.com and I reached out to them and they did step in and help get payment for some closings.

@princessjamiedean Congratulations! :partying_face: Excellent Effort!

You may already be cognizant of this option . . . just in case you aren’t . . .

At the bottom of the Text Alerts for Signing Orders [SOs] through the SigningOrder .com platform, there’s an OPTION to ‘No Longer Receive Offers From This Business’ (or text to that effect).

Wait…so Mortgage Connect isn’t good right now?

There’s nothing wrong with Mortgage Connect - but you have to stick to your guns on fees with them.

@tiffany2 Excellent Question! :white_check_mark:

Looking forward to receiving @steves11 direct experience in this regard as he brings YEARS of knowledge.

.

NOTE: As with receiving ANY Signing Order [SO] as a Business Owner, it’s ALWAYS IMPORTANT to ensure your established Schedule of Fees is met (or exceeded). :partying_face:

I guess if you like paying them to work for them, they’re fine. Their fees are in the gutter.

@steves11 :tada: Thank You :tada: for sharing your extensive direct experience.

Concur that their APP regularly proffers abysmally low Fees. You’re correct that those Fees are so low that the out-of-pocket expenses AREN’T covered. :scream:

As a result, the net calculation is as you’ve succinctly stated: “paying them to work for them.”

===>>> Concur that’s NOT a solid business decision to make.

.

NOTE: If one endeavors to negotiate, many will attest that there are only rare instances that the requested Fee is met.

Agree with your comment regarding stick to your guns regarding fees. I don’t accept lowball offers and they will pay my fees because of my location and others not available. In my current area, I have the most experience and certifications except for Judith Kidd that does an excellent job but would have to travel further from her home base. Hats off to Judith and her professionalism.

I had an issue with Cloud Signing paying and they said cause I didn’t send an invoice.

@lindas12 & any others who have long-term outstanding invoices with this business entity, you may find this data to be helpful for collection:

I don’t know if this is accurate. I’ve done work in the last month for both services Cloud is terrible and doesn’t pay and won’t respond to anything. Mortgage Connect is awesome and is communicative and pays quickly.

@lindas12 Hopefully you’ll achieve success with collection of your outstanding invoice(s) by utilizing the new email (as noted above).

Any details you would not mind sharing to help others out would be greatly appreciated. What you did and/or what legalshield does or did you get you paid. I am in what has been the longest fight with myself because no one at cloud signings is even responding. Long story short, I have a total of 7 orders that have not been paid although I have emailed invoices and sent a demand email including info@cloudsignings, support@cloudsignings, teamcloud@cloudsignings, support@venbooks and sduggal@cloudsignings. In addition, I left numerous voicemails for Shelly/sduggal the accounting contact with no returned calls.
