Would You Agree To Notarize This Situation?

I was stopped by some woman in my community who saw my notary signage. The lady said her tenant needs a mobile notary to have her become his beneficiary of his will. She said he doesn’t have any relatives to leave his property to and seemed excited about the arrangement.

I explained California doesn’t require notarizing wills but she didn’t care. Would you as a notary turn this request down based on a landlord involved as beneficiary?

I would speak with the signer at length alone to determine his willingness to sign, coherence, competence, and understanding of the documents. If I felt comfortable he knew what he was doing, I might proceed. He could leave his estate to his cat; it’s his business.
