As a new Notary who is the GOAT?

Hi, I am a new Notary Public in Saint Louis Missouri, and would like to ask who is the GOAT in referral services. I would also like to ask who are the rotten companies to stay away from. Thank you in advance for anything you could offer!

Welcome! Check out FB group Deadbeat Signing Companies as well as doing a search here for key words, like nonpayment, slow pay, deadbeat. There are a good number of them.

Best wishes in the biz.

No GOATs. Lots of weasels, tho’. Too many notaries/very little business = classic supply/demand situation: fees go down (and only fools accept no profit).
The former good ones are leaving an unsustainable business as they, too, are affected by supply/demand. Where they used to earn their money filling MANY signings, now their survival depends upon finding notaries who work for pennies so they can retain most of the fee.

The GOAT is anybody with a fairly successful “old school” life insurance sales background that likes people, knows how to market, and is tired of asking for the signature. This business is a natural fit.

Why are so many replies not answering his question?

They did - i.e. search here, search FB, no GOATs
all true answers

What a GOAT is for one or a handful of notaries may be a horrible company to others

In summation, “who is the GOAT . . . who are the rotten companies to stay away from” is easily answered by accessing the GOLDMINE database:

It’s always wise to research & vet a new client prior to providing a definitive confirmation to them for your initial Signing Order for them. A great start of research would begin within the Notary Cafe forums Search Function.

A request has been submitted on numerous occasions [to BRIGHTEN the Magnifying Glass] over the years to the Notary Cafe Team Leads. That request has been reportedly passed onto the programmers of the site => that most members find it difficult/nearly impossible to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of info available within the database.

To be helpful, I’ve inserted an image for you & others [see below] to help members locate it to unlock the wisdom & knowledge of other members on the forums.

Accessing the database to locate info about potential clients has saved many of us an inordinate amount of time ‘chasing’ payments for Services professionally provided to potential non-payers . . .

“No GOATs. Lots of weasels”. That made my Monday. I forgot your comment until just now. It seems the weasels are now breeding unchecked.
