BARD signing for Quicktime Notary

Hi, Quicktime Notary sent me a request to do a “BARD” signing starting with a $25 offer. I thought maybe it was a local single document signing where the low fee might make sense. Then they raised it to $75, $85 and finally today $95. I sent them a request to explain what a “BARD” signing is every time that they sent it. No answer back.I didn’t want to say I’d do it only to cancel if it was something I’m not willing to do for a low price and have snapdocs ding me. Does anyone know what it is and have you ever worked with Quicktime Notary?
Thank You

After a little google research this was my findings: Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD ) service from The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. So with that being stated, I assume that signing order was potentially for the blind

Wow…imagine the time if that were in FL??? We are required to read each doc to be notarized to the signer. I can’t even come up with a base fee for that…not to mention the FL compliant certs to be used.

Thank you so much for looking that up. It makes sense but since they didn’t let we notaries know how many pages, I still am apprehensive about accepting it. One page is fine, but they weren’t at all descriptive. I appreciate the time you took!

Yes, for a refinance, or any loan for that matter, it is way too much to read every page–it would take hours and hours. I’m still not sure of how many pages it was–they stayed mysterious.

Another maybe from AI:
A “BARD signing” in real estate typically refers to a Broker’s Acknowledgment of Real Estate Document signing. This involves a notary public acknowledging the identity of the broker and witnessing the signing of important real estate documents.

I had a recent experience with him. Run as fast as you can from Quicktime Notary!

Thank you for sharing that you’ve dealt with them too. They are going on my no list.

I thought I had already responded to you but if it isn’t showing up, thanks again. This brings it a lot more into perspective but I didn’t accept since they have never answered my multiple requests for clarity. I’m sure I wasn’t the only other notary asking what they exactly were needing.
