BrownWinick Law Firm - Another new scam?!

Has anyone else received an email from a BrownWinick Law Firm with a “pdf attachment” outlining their upcoming estate planning Opportunities??? Attachment has an exact replica of the Adobe pdf icon. When clicked, it does not open a pdf, it tries to open a site that my Norton defender blocked saying the site is on the blacklist. These scammers are getting more an more tricky. Highly reccomend using something like Norton to block these Phishers

Yup. Just cleared my spam box, and there it was. Seems like the scammers are off the charts right now. Last night I got a text after 8 pm, for a job at 10:30 am yesterday morning (so the job was for 10 hours before they sent the text), asking if I could do a Bronx notary (I’m in Florida).

I have received some of these. Didn’t click on the pdf. I just forwarded the emails (it was on a Gmail account) to Abuse@Gmail.com and then deleted them.

@tom.codd Yes, :prohibited: SPAM :prohibited:

ACTION TAKEN: Coded as JUNK & notified Abuse team.

Without commenting on that particular firm, I’ve found that with few exception, law firms are slow payers and may not pay if the signing didn’t go through. I only work with the firms that I have had positive experience with and I do not accept offers from anyone new. Law firms also book through established signing agencies on Snapdocs. Despite feeling they may be vetted, it can take 4 months to be paid.
