@johnsonps306 I know FASS will do that, especially if your fee is greater than what they willing to pay without management approval.
I’ve had that happen and 9/10, I stick to my guns. Sometimes, when it becomes a battle of wills, I’ll just stop responding to the next offer because sometimes their counter is only like $5/more. I choose not to keep responding to a $5 increase when we are at least $40 apart.
Its tough sometimes. I have countered due to distance and travel time or when the number of pages become ridiculous (350 pages). I have had some platforms say I’ll get back to you and just don’t send the order. Which is fine, I’m not paying to do an order, which is what it amounts to by the time you add in gas, paper, toner etc. leaves little in the way of profit for my time.
When they do that I add $5 to my counter. It has worked before.
