When invoicing time comes according to the Department of Labor, “The hourly minimum wage in connection with the Service Contract Act has risen from $11.25 to $15.00 per hour, beginning January 30, 2022” (www.dol.com). So, less than a hundred dollars to execute the refinance would be humiliating.

I received a request for a certificate of life on a pension. The gentleman doesn’t have a form, but needs to prove he’s alive. Is there a form for this and if so, where can I find it?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

In general, the client needs to provide the document when meeting with the notary; well, that is, unless you’re in Louisiana . . . :blush:

Never include mileage on an invoice. Federal tax law allows the deduction if you are not compensated for the expense.
