Well, from what I can tell Jennifer Glover prestige Notaries is also Notaries in action and had I known that I would’ve never taken the job. The last job I did for prestige. It took 109 days to get them to pay me and I said never again now I’m at day 76 with Notaries in action and all I hear are crickets. Companies like Jennifer‘s are what’s wrong with the Notary world we complete our task, but you don’t hold up your end of the bargain by paying us.
There’s a word for this and that word is Fraud.
Guys I did get paid, I think it was day 81. FYI
But it was especially annoying how Jennifer claimed she sent it when she hadn’t and then she also said she could resend it but then didn’t take that action either. Which is how we got here and the behavior is so appalling to me I put up this post which is something I never do but it is a last resort as us notaries are being strung along. I also think it’s important to let other notaries know what they can expect from certain companies and people. Maybe you want to work with them maybe you don’t or maybe if you decide you up your prices because you know your going to have to do a lot of leg work for payment and it might go on for 3 months or more.
We just had a discussion about Prestige. I invoiced a Past Due, and they wanted to put me off. Not acceptable. They wanted to “reset” the due date because they said I had not fulfilled some billing guidelines. I responded with I had done my due diligence and would take the next step; payment was due upon receipt of the 2nd invoice. I received the check within the week, but I also received another email in which they invoiced me for the amount of the check. (I would love to see how they THINK that’s going to work out for them)
The only reason they have another name is the reputation they have created under Prestige. It’s time for them to go away. I have a list on the wall of companies I’m not available for. Thanks for the heads up! Notaries in Action was just added!
@johnsonps306 It would be helpful to nearly all Notary Cafe members if you would create a new/separate thread on that business entity delineating your direct experience with them including the contact details, address, contact data, payment interval, etc.
Your notation of that business entity name is the initial event identifying that Signing Service [SS].
NOTE: I have no direct experience with the 'Notary Trails’ business entity.
.
The post with their business name (above) is the first instance of it on the Notary Cafe forum.
.
After cursory online Research, the following data was located via BizProfile .net:
"Notary Trails, LLC is a business entity based in Lincoln, CA. Established recently on October 31, 2023, this Limited Liability Company is recognized under the document number 202359611542. Governed by the California Secretary of State, the company is listed in active status in state records.
The principal and mailing address of the company is situated at 109 Austin Ct., Lincoln, CA 95648. This address serves as the central hub for the company’s activities and communications.
Overseeing the operations and compliance of this Limited Liability Company is Tresp, Day & Associates, Incorporated, who serves as the registered agent."
Even that would not be so terrible if you knew that going in and accepted it as part of doing business with them. The problem is that even then, you have to hassle with them to get paid, sending them additional copies of the original invoice with multiple email reminders. It becomes the proverbial “more trouble than it’s worth”.
I don’t recommend Prestige Notaries. Low Pay. (50 pages, 20 min drive, 30 min signing. $60) The paperwork was in zip file locked and wouldn’t print right because it was in Word as a PDF. Blamed me with no help, give, or guidance. While speaking on phone there was a baby screaming close in the background. Just not professional. If it takes as long as you all say to get paid I won’t be working for Prestige anymore.
