I have been using notary assist .com software
I wont or need to , consider anything else.
It gives me a full schedule of all my job i enter the info and just use the program
U get reports and expenses even maps
Just fill in the blanks
Correct, Ashton, that’s where I got the $400. Also, I appreciate the additional info.
@LindaH & @Keaton, yes I know it’s $600 and in my research I also saw that $400 that Ashton clarified.
I was able to really dig into Snapdocs and view my accounting report. Everything is correct as far as my AR’s. I will still look at my own accounting method that some of you advised you use.
Thank you all for your assistance and great wealth of knowledge. This platform is amazing.
You all are the best!!!
Are you using Snapdocs? When I was in the DFW, I really didn’t get many signing notifications AT ALL!!!
Yes, I am. It seems like everywhere I go to introduce myself as a notary public, they are as well .
I use the Notary Gadget app. You can forward to it the confirmation emails and u can keep track of mileage too. You can also add the appointment to your calendar
NNA has a Signing Agent Log Book that I love. I have used it for years to log all my appointments and when I received payment. I have always preferred “paper” record keeping to digital records or Apps.
Bre, you stated that you are using snapdocs already. Snapdocs provides you with all lthe functionality you need already to do your accounting at no extra charge.
I have been using it since I started over 5 years and 5980 signings ago. I know how many signings I have done because I track then all using snapdocs, whether they are snapdocs signings or from signingorder.com, notary dash or anywhere else. You enter the order # and who the job is from, what it pays, etc.
You just enter the order and the accounting feature will let you know when you did it and how long its been and you click paid when you get paid.
It also tracks your mileage and you can track other expenses and query it all to do your taxes. It will export to a spread sheet.
Hope that is helpful as you state you are already using snapdocs.
I don’t use SD for mileage though because sometimes their mileage figures are as the crow flies instead of on the actual roads. In this area, anyway. But otherwise 100%. I put all signings there.
You can manually input the miles into snapdocs.
I just put mileage in the Excel I keep for the tax accountant. That’s the super meticulous workbook I have.
I could be wrong, but it seems like when I list all orders I have on Snapdocs - I get more offers from Snapdocs - have you ever noticed anything like that? Activity picks up after I add from all the other services I’m on. I forgot a couple this week and then when I added them all - offers started coming through where i had not seen any for two days.
Am I just tripping do you think?
I havent noticed that. The more I take from snapdocs the more I see and ultimately get from snapdocs… Im sure it is because the algorithym they use rewards the most active notaries with a combination of ranking, total signings and recent signings. Plus the more you take the more companies are likely to put you on their favorite lists.
Snapdocs algorithm does seem to favor when you’ve accepted a lot and/or enter in orders. I think there is a youtube video with Mark in it, that confirms that it could be of assistance, as it shows you as an active notary, even if you aren’t getting SD assignments. Unfortunately, I find SD to have a lot of lower payers, so I’m still pretty picky (it may just be my area) but I have way more luck with signing order.
Agree w/renee2…way too low pay on this platform.
I find the payment offers are about the same range on all platforms. I actually find a few better payors on Snapdocs with a few companies. But overall same range. Some a little better and some a little worse.
Hi there! Yes, I’ve been using it, but just haven’t been keeping up with the payments that were going into my bank account, from the companies that aren’t using Vendorpay. I love all the automated features, but I just wasn’t being diligent and checking my bank account for AR’s. Everything is accounted for and nothing is outstanding. I’m keeping better track going forward.
Thank you, though
All you have to do is when a check comes in pull up the associated signer / File in snapdocs and mark it as paid. It takes two seconds.
When componies who are not in autopay, pay you by mail or by ACH payment they will typically email you that you are being paid.
When you receive the check, check it against he email that you alerted you and then mark paid in snapdocs.
I can explain it to you over the phone if you would like while you are in snapdocs.
I have had zero aggrivation or trouble managing almost 6000 orders over the last 5 plus years.
Its easy.
There is nothing that will keep up with the payments and automatically resolve your accounting for you. You have to do it.
Snapdocs provides an easy accounting platform to assist you.
I use notary gadget which was a game changer for my business.
I use Notary Assist -input jobs and payments and mileage and expenses at your own pace and at the end of the year you print out the reports for your accountant
Inexpensive monthly
I’m very surprised that only one person responded about using Snapdocs to record and keep track of all of your signings!
Is free
You “create new” - input info
Save to your calendar.
Tracks your mileage
Has an accounting tab where you can create an instant invoice if payment is overdue or requires an invoice. There is also a button next to each signing labeled paid that you can click to keep track.
Emails you a monthly snapshot of what you made for the month, how many signings, and average miles per signing
At tax time you can run an export to excel
Excellent tool!
Maybe cuz SD also uses your list as leads to new biz for SD
