Mobile Notary Zone-Beware

I want to share an experience I just had with MNZ, and pass on some wisdom from a 36 year commissioned notary and 10 year mobile notary. When a notary company subs their closing to you - there are no guarantees if payment, and mortgage companies, title companies, and even the platform you are on such as Snapdocs, want nothing to do with making a non-payment right. I did a job on 3/6 for MNZ, and they didn’t pay as agreed. It turned in to me-who has a high rating on Snapdocs and all my NNA certs and E&O insurance and my bond-being removed from their platform because i refused to engage in a personal phone call with the owner of MNZ. I don’t do that. The order said an echeck net 30, no phone call is necessary. The man started creeping me out over a dozen texts saying he’d pay me if i’d just call and talk to him. I felt violated and disrespected because i just wanted him to send my echeck. It was a much needed $100. All the companies i spoke of above continue to support this man saying ‘it sounds like he wants to pay you - but he wants to talk to you. Just call him.’ I’ve held firm and am sick im giving up $100 because i wont engage in this sick game he is playing. He takes in docs from the title company, then just forwards the email to a notary who spends her money on reams of paper, toner, drums, gas, time, meeting lovely signers who offer you tea and cake and love to tell you about their pets, and then MNZ gets paid 3 days after the signing and refuses to pay me. I’m just sick about a career i loved for so long, but am finding more and more companies with bad reviews who feel they can pay u when they want beyond the due date because they got paid, spent your money and day afford to pay you in time. I’m shifting to sticking with local realtors and companies like PDQ notary who know me and reach out when they have something because they know i’m a professional and good at what they do. Search for reviews on companies. Believe the reviews.
