Mobile Scanners/Printers

Hey All, I’m in my second year as a NSA and building up a good reputation as a trustworthy and capable notary. I rarely get passed over for signings on platforms like SnapDocs and SigningOrder and I’m starting to see an increase in signing companies reaching out directly to request my services. Overall, business is trending upwards and I’m looking to pick up more loan signing work.

Here’s the rub. I also do tax and bookkeeping work, and my original plan was to have the NSA work be a small addendum to my other service offerings. Ergo, I never purchased a mobile scanner. But, I have found that I am enjoying the NSA work a lot more than I originally thought and would like to shift to doing more of this type of work.

In order to be able to maximize my day and pick up more loan signings per day, I’m realizing that a mobile scanner is a must. So, here’s my question. What are your recommendations for a good mobile scanner at a price that won’t break the bank? Also, what other considerations should I have re: choosing the best fit?

I have a Scansnap ix1500 that I love! It serves as its own wifi, handles various page sizes automatically.

I have a Canon R30 that works as well as my commercial scanner. Large feed capacity.

Epson 400II - they have a wireless one for a little more money. Both are excellent choices for scanners.
