When filing your bond and your oath by mail to your County Clerk’s office, what does it mean by adding a letter requesting a conformed copy of the bond? I have already had my oath notarized and am now preparing my letter to be sent out but am very confused about this. Is it quite simply just typing up a letter and requesting a conformed copy of the bond?

oh no what county are you? I may have the same issue soon
I am in Contra Costa, which is closed to the public. If you have an open county clerks office you can do it in person at their office.
I just got my commission and they are very specific, especially since the offices are closed to the public.
This is what you will do:
You are going to write a business letter, stating that you are requesting a coup for the body for confirmation filing.
You are going to list all the documents that are sending:
Copy of the Notary Public Commission Certificate
ORIGINAL Bond signed by you
Two oath of office forms originally signed & notarized
The filing fees
Self addressed stamped envelope
Copy of the bond, which on the top you will write you name, address, and commission number.
Send all of these off to the correct county clerk’s office.
I emphasize ORIGINAL, because I was so excited that I accidentally sent a copy.
Hope this helps.
You will also include your phone number for them to reach you.
just checking my date was Oct. 13th the state is now working on the 17th so I should be getting mine any day now. checked the county office they are open by appointment only.
