Notarizing a Trust Certificate

Hello everyone,
In this last section of a ‘Trust Certificate’, could someone tell me what exactly should go after the word ‘at’ in this acknowledgement ?

Before me, , a Notary Public in and for said state, personally appeared BARRY AND BARBARA BORROWER, who acknowledged before me that he/she/they did sign the foregoing instrument and that the same is his/her/their free act and deed. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto affixed my name and official seal at ,Ohio, this day of , 20 .

Dan,

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto affixed my name and official seal at (County), State of XXXXX, this 20th day of December, 2017.

I Teach my students that the county on the venue portion of the certificate must be the county where their feet are planted while doing the signing.

…thanks Carol! A quick follow up: So as I understand it, we never get more specific than the county and the state when we see a word like ‘at’ that is calling for us to put a location?
best
Danny

Danny, you need to read your state’s notarial law. You can obtain a booklet from several sources.
