Oh...The Audacity.....Sigh (*#$&$

I completely resonate with the frustration expressed in this thread. I’ve experienced the same challenges and the feeling of being undervalued and disrespected. After a period of feeling overworked and stressed while running my mobile notary business, I decided it was time to implement some boundaries and prioritize my well-being. I came to a realization, those businesses wasn’t disrespecting me, I was. I made what I call an “executive decision” to significantly restructure how I operate. Firstly, I limited myself to no more than two signing assignments per day, recognizing that quality and attention to detail are more important than simply maximizing the number of signings. Secondly, I established a firm rule that all loan packages must be available to me the business day prior to the scheduled signing date. This allows ample time for review, organization, and preparation. Lastly, I severely limited the number of last-minute orders I would even consider accepting, understanding that these often come with added stress and potential complications. Accompanying these operational changes, I also raised my signing fees to reflect the increased value I bring to the table and the time I invest in each assignment. Since implementing these changes, I have experienced a dramatic improvement in my work-life balance and overall enjoyment of my business. The key for me was taking control and refusing to allow the demands of the business to dictate my schedule and my peace of mind.

What? 25 miles will get you into our town and back around here! The next town is around 20 miles one way. In the rural areas, we have to travel.
