Question About Notary Signature Acknowledgement Form

@notary writing this is not a notarizeable document is a great suggestion as well! I did not stamp the form thank goodness. I think what confused me initially was that I thought that it was another (borrower) identity verification form.

Great advice @dcaldwell! This was very informative.

IMO this form needs a stamp right> Thats what the space to the right is for . help me if im wrong

You are the notary. It’s your job to decide whether a particular document is eligible for notarization or not. The client request a notarization, and you decide whether the request is proper or not. Just because the person who designed a form left a space for a stamp does not mean the form designer knew what he or she was doing.

No - there is no notarial act here - so no stamp

Just because there’s space doesn’t mean you fill it with your notary stamp.
