happy Sunday! tomorrow is my second signing (Refi) and i have a couple of questions from my package. can you all help?
for the contact info sheet (once i sign) it mentiones title and rank and serial number (if any) what title do i use as the notary agent? iwill leave serial number blank.
also i have a document for the settlement agent - i wouldn’t touch that correct? the title/bank would complete that one??
welcome all the expertise here. thanks in advance
@cynthialwallace Congratulations Cynthia.
So for the title and or rank…You’re a “Notary Public” and your serial number can be found on your Notary Certificate and your Notary Stamp. It should be a combination of letters and numbers. Correct, you’re not the settlement agent.
Have a great weekend and a successful signing tomorrow.

one more question…there is a Doc called Borrower Limited Power of Attorney and i must use my notorial stamps…the question i have is…it’s asking for name of principal then seal so I’m assuming I’m the principal?? i know these questions may be so generic to you…welcome your expertise. thank you
Cynthia, we’ve ALL been in your shoes, so there’s no harm in asking me a direct question ever. If I don’t see your question, I’m sure someone from the forum will.
Now then, that document is for the signer(s) to sign. The signer is the principal in this case and his/her/their signature would be considered the seal.

My state doesn’t assign numbers for notaries so I write N/A when asked for one.
Wait, so there’s no identifying number on your notary stamp?
Nope. Michigan doesn’t assign any number. It’s name, state, county and expiration date only.
