What is your experience with Service Link? I submitted an app to contract with them and they required all these credentials/ insurance, etc. - which is fine. Then they told me that for Refi and Helocs they usually pay like 75-85 dollars to the notary. I responded that if they had any that are close in my area, I could see if i could accommodate them but my prices are usually dependent on the number of signers, the distance and the package size. They responded and said “Unfortunately, we will not be able to proceed. Your fees are much higher than any agent on panel in your area and you will not see any volume.”
I have open communication with other notaries in my area and am aware we all price this way- so i know this is incorrect.

I gave them a zip code list I would accept at the $95/100 range they indicated for Refi and HELOC. It’s a small list. Gave them a territory map with prices.
They are like anyone else. If it makes sense you do it otherwise you don’t. So far just one contract. But there weren’t issues. I did cover an appointment a notary canceled over the printing thing. That notary takes auto assignnments I don’t do that.

Search on keywords ‘good companies’ OR ‘bad companies’ to make a determination of the ones you’d like to pursue as a potential client.
