Signers in different states

Can someone refresh my memory please?

When there are 2 signers in 2 different states, do I put a line through the absent signer’s name since I won’t be witnessing their signature?

If so, do I let the 2nd notary print their own forms or attach their stamp?

I vaguely remember something about this. But can find the answer quickly.

Thanks for all the support!

In your certificate, line through the absent borrower’s name and initial.

If you are the first notary, use the original certificates. The second notary will attach certificates appropriate for their state.

Personally, if I am the first notary, I will print a second copy of all pages that the second notary will have to sign and notarize. I assume the signing company won’t send the second notary the doc file. Just a courtesy.
