Had a signing today, it was confirmed with borrowers the night before for early morning signing, printed over 400 docs, what would the cost be to the signing service for printing cost?
I had a cancellation question/comment and wasn’t sure where to place it…
A. BSebreros, did you get paid a cancellation fee for the 400+ docs you printed?
B. I’m in Maine (ME) and lately I’ve been getting requests for seller docs only (and one refi) and they’re for people who are apparently here on vacation. I can’t say I’d want to do a signing on vacation while I’m out of state but I guess these people do - or they’re pressured into doing it while they’re there. Either way. I agreed/was assigned to an odd situation where the husband was in Maine on some trip, the wife was back in their home state. I was to go meet up with the husband who was not agreeable to a time because I believe he was on a trip with other people and was under some belief that it would be a 10 minute job (it was a refi), then I was to scanback, drop in FedEx for the wife in home state to complete her portion the next day. When I said that the husband wasn’t agreeable to a time I mean that FedEx’s last pick up is 4:30 for overnight, he wanted to meet at 7pm and it was an hour away from me/further from FedEx and scanbacks. But I just received a $20.00 echeck for the cancellation - is this standard? And does anyone else have signings while people are on vacation?
In my experience most signing services will pay $20 if you have printed docs but the signing cancelled.
I did get paid for printing charge, I do a lot signings for the signing service.
