Hi all, I have 2 unpaid signings from Title365…one over 40 days and one that’s 36 days now. I’ve sent invoices and they said it was submitted to their billing department but still no funds. Doesn’t their contract say they pay net 30? Wouldn’t this be considered a breach of contract? Need some advice as to what to do or who to call to get things expedited because this is ridiculous.
Hi @amg.hernandez. In my experience, “Net 30” depends on their in-house accounting process. Some go from the 1st of the following month, some go by the signing date, but most use the closing date (they want to ensure they got what they paid for {a successful closing/loan funded}) before they pay you. I personally give everyone 60 days before I start inquiring. Anything more than that I don’t touch. Hope this helps!
But this is a title company not a signing service. What excuse do they have? I guess I’m just fed up with chasing everyone for payment.
They usually pay like clockwork, so…hmmmmm
I have a 3 month one from them. I went onto the app and asked for remittance on the customer support tab. They just got back to me yesterday. They’re sending payment now.
I hear ya! But “Net 30” is just that, and it depends on their own “kickoff date” for such regardless who they are. I should have used the words “your client” in lieu of signing service, but all one in the same. But if they don’t disclose what their payment terms are in advance, then I say “chase them.” Like I said previously, if they don’t stipulate payment terms in advance, I give them 60 days from the “disbursement” date on the loan, or signing date for others. Now that things have slowed down, I don’t see a reason for anything longer than 30 days, but at the end of the day, we don’t know what they do internally. They all know “eventually” you will climb the ladder to get your funds, so they have to be really “special” not to pay you.
yes they usually pay on time without me chasing them down so I don’t understand what the holdup is, especially with things being so slow at the moment.
I find it so irritating that everything has to be handled through their app, especially when such app is so glitchy.
Today was it for me! Ciao !!
One question here - are you notified that the scanbacks are not recognized? If so, how? If you get an email notification about it, I’d print that out, attached it to the original package and drop the package. IMO it’s never a good idea to hold packages for any longer than 24 hours - holding them for a week, not such a good idea. If there’s a technical issue on their end, best to get rid of that package (and get a receipt) and that along with the printed failure notification is your cover if they say you failed to scan docs back.
JMO - hope you get this ironed out
They hold the label hostage pending review.
How long do they hold it for? I’m on with title now trying to get a label 2 days later.
Until they review it.
Wow…their site had been hinky for over a year last December. I had sent so many e-mails with screenshots of what was ‘going wrong’, but never got a reply nor were the issueS ever corrected. Got out of their dbase this Jan. as I was just tired of the time spent trying to work with them. Thanks for the info–cuz now any doubts I had about the wisdom of ‘getting out’ are settled.
Would you mind sharing the contact info? I can’t message on the app since the job is closed.
This is very concerning for me as I have my first signing that I was able to capture after several notification attempts.
They never responded to my emails. Title365 is a bad business.
Thanks. How did you get paid? Most of the time, they pay within 30 but I have one that’s past 90 days.
Please don’t tell me that…
Terrible operation from title365. I did a closing for them. They lost the Borrowers Affidavit for a refi. They tried to make me go back and get that resigned. I told them to look at the scan backs and use those signed copies. Not my fault they cant handle their own mistakes… Im never taking an assignment from them ever.
