Assignment w/ NotaryGo

Will anybody believes I just got a text from NotaryGo at 6:18 pm for a signing today at 6:00pm. The odd thing someone got it and was 18 minutes late. Must be because of Halloween it getting weird. Do all Newbie gets this treatment? This is also like a game store where you had to keep your finger on the buzzer always. Very odd business!!!

And getting odder by the minute. 3 days of ever-increasing fee offered; you counter higher (or what the job is worth). Then another co. takes over the order and the game starts again. Then, when they finally figure out nobody will take it cheap, it’s too late as you’ve already booked ‘good’ business for that time slot. Not just NotaryGo
they all seem to do it–again & again.

Actually it’s not odd an can be the results of many factors. (Arichter, you’re usually spot on with these type of things
I’m surprised).

Okay here’s my two cents

A signing agent could’ve asked to be removed from the assignment close to the scheduled appointment time, a signing agent could’ve had car trouble, car accident, the signing agent previous signing could’ve run into overtime and the signing agent can’t make it to the signing
ect. Like most of us would do this for a living, (full or part time) we have to look at the big picture and realize that -hit happens. Arichter’s, knowledge, advice and points of view are 99% solid and on the mark for the most part. We all know that certain signing companies reputation and track records aren’t the best among signing agents, but this time I think they should get a pass of no judgement
because things happen sometimes which are out of their (signing agencies) control. Again, that’s just my two cent on the topic.

You make a good point. My insight IS very rural area-specific.

In my case documents did not/have not arrived and by the appointment time. I had another appointment my schedule did not include that long of a delay (i.e. print 2 packages and drive 30 minutes to appointment), therefore I ask to be pulled. I see it pop up elsewhere.

I have also taken an after scheduled appointment and sometimes documents are still not available 20min, 40min, or hour later. If there is a place for comments ask, “Are documents available now?” you may find that they will roll it over to another day.

One time I got contacted at 3 pm for a signing at 3 pm. I accepted thinking the 3 was a mistake. (Yes, I was a newbie.) Anyway, I was assigned the job, got to it as soon as I could and got it done. That signing agency then told me they would favorite me so I would get first dibs on their jobs. Sometimes it pays to do short notice if you can pull it off.
