C2C signing tonight

Was called 6 pm for a signing. Response I sent gave x fee. They said then it was a double signing so I said I couldn’t do it at that fee then. 8 pm
Signing in this timeframe my rate is increased.

6:45 Got text stating they can do my fee.
I asked when will I receive docs

7:15 asked to be contacted by 7:30. I didn’t eat dinner thinking I would leaving
7:30 still no response. Should I just eat dinner and get into pjs and have a beer. So tired of being treated with disrespect. Unreal

I have never been able to complete the 3 signings I’ve had with them because there has been issues that makes me cancel. 30-45 minutes after appointment time and still no docs please take me off this signing this is crazy, has happened twice. 1st time the signer was almost 2 hours away and said he didn’t want someone at his home late (got the signing at 530pm) and the title company they were using got mad at me for not going. I said if you think I will ride 2 hours and this gentleman has already said he doesn’t want me in his home this late, it’s not happening.

To be fair to the title/signing agency they are completely dependent on the Loan Officer getting their act together. What happened was the title comp notified the LO about your price and he relayed that to the borrower & they said forget that and rescheduled the closing to get a cheaper cost; you priced yourself out of a signing.

I am so okay to price myself out of a signing at this point. at 6 pm for an 8 pm signing where this virus is killing people I do not mind missing a signing. but my issues was they did come back and state they could meet my fee and then not another word.

and honestly for 2 signings I wasn’t that high. lol I never am. I wont do the $60 anymore but I sure don’t expect over $300 for a last minute late night signings. they weren’t even honest and put down it was 2 signings to begin with. they listed it as one signing.

and this is not how it normally occurs. my son used to work at a signing agency and they have a set fee they are provided. they in turn take their cut knowing what is left is for the notary. so yes there is normally some negotiation room. I honestly do not mind doing signings for a lower paying company where I know the docs, their app is awesome, easy to do, hardly ever scan backs etc. no issues for years = easy for me to complete. everyone has been nice and working with me anytime I have questions. they are the company I will continue with
