hello this is the first new post I have put on Notary café. this is the only forum that I’m a member of because I love the little coffee cup! ha ha! That’s marketing for ya! so I’m sharing a cup of Java with you and asking you a question about E&O insurance. I’m thinking about getting the hundred thousand dollar insurance because BILL Soroka from Notary Coach suggested it that it would make me more marketable to some companies and hopefully escrow agents title companies etc. my question is should I get my E&O through NNA because I am a member or somewhere else? it’s pretty pricey $432 for four years which is not some thing I really want to spend right now but will do it. I might add I’m 69 and just renewed for four more years but I do want the extra added protection that that provides. so NNA or somewhere else? Thanks my brothas and sistas😇
You can obtain the $100,000 for 1 year rather then the 4 years. Much cheaper and serves the purpose.

What John said is good advice. Some folks are creating a new “normal” with $1mil offered by biBerk paid on a monthly fee, the same with Coversmart. $1mil is not a requirement. But, boosting to your annually paid $100K is good business, in my opinion.
PS: I am not a CPA, but I believe if you go to irs.gov, business insurance IS tax deductible.
