Fee based Notary Sites

Does anyone have any recommendations for fee based/membership sites that are worth the membership fee? I have been getting work from Xome Signings but their top fee is $90. I would like more work and have been very disappointed in Snapdocs and Signingtrac and others that only offer very low fees which are ridiculous. I look forward to getting some really great information from my fellow Notary Signing Agents.

Lisa, I only pay to advertise and market myself, not to work for a company. Spend your money on advertising, whether it’s on the three top sites, like this one, as well as business cards, your own web-page, etc. Your marketing and advertising expenses are tax deductible. Paying a signing service for work is profit in their pocket and another way to raise funds in order for them to stay in business. If a signing services tells you to pay a fee in order to receive work from them, say thank you and good-bye.

I am there with you on this, I haven’t heard anything very construction about fees. I would like to stay with this conversation.
A new company to me called with a Saturday morning loan sign, a travel $70, and no idea size of package or how many signers. NOPE NOT GOING THERE. In the day when the title companies hired fee was $175, now look where we are???

I know newbees accept the low fees to get on board - whats a strategy on this?

I just won’t pay any fee for the work. I find National Notary Association gets most notaries plenty of work. I think it is importatnt to charge an amount that makes it worth doing. One assignment if done correctly can take up your day. I can’t work for less than $ 100 on a regular mortgage assignment. Companies charge the borrower like $ 299 and offer the notary $ 45. That doesn’t work. I tell them I can’t work for less than $ 100 and they accept that even if they have to call me back.My paper, ink, markers, cost to be a notary signing agent, gas and car maintenance and just my 5 hrs. at least time involved. A regular low paying job makes $ 100 a day. So a ;notary needs at least $ 100.

Also get the names of compainies who need notaries and just go into the internet and register with them. Notary Cafe has a long list of companies that hire notaries for mortgage signings. scheduling companies say charge the $ 299 to borrower and keep whatever is left over from paying the notary for themselves. You have to make enough money to make this job worth it. If I have to drive an hour or two to get there then back I charge $ 300 and they pay it. Don’t hesitate to think of yourself.

Like others here, I refuse to pay a service for the “privilege” of receiving signing orders from them.
