Finest Mobile Notary

Avoid them at all costs. They grossly overcharge clients, take advantage of them and refuse refunds. I’ve had a few calls from them and had a long conversation with a client they abused. She was desperate and at a local hospital. They charged her $196 for a simple POA. Clearly breaking Michigan law. They are a terrible company.

Why not report them to the Attorney General of their state?

I just used them for the first time. I had zero issues. I had emailed them and told them I was uncomfortable using my stamp on the above document and they said it wasn’t a problem. My payment arrived within 3 days. The rate was comparable to what I charge for a local notary.

I have completed a couple of GNW assignments for Finest Mobile Notary, but will not work for them again for several reasons. 1. They greatly overcharge the client. When the clients told me what they paid it made me feel very uncomfortable, I don’t want to be associated with a company who takes advantage of people. 2. They wanted me to send them a copy of the signers ID - they have no reason to have that and I refused to collect it for them. I will collect ID copies for a lender, title company, attorney etc. but not for this company. 3. They asked me to send a copy of the signed document, again that’s a no from me because those documents are private and belong to the client. They contacted me again today and I declined, it just irritates me that they are so unethical and it reflects poorly on the notary industry.

Great company, worked with them SEVERAL times over the past year. They pay within 2-3 days. Some of these negative comments seem disingenuous and inexperienced. ALL signing services charge more to clients to cover expenses…it’s a business. I also highly recommend.

Did a POA for them 7 days ago and still haven’t been paid. Even called them and they claimed payment should be received yesterday or today. Well… nothing so far and we have about a few more hours in a day. But it is sketchy that you don’t know who you are dealing with. The number seems to be of someone from another country (Virtual Assistant or something). My last time dealing with them. Something seems fishy about them.

I got a text from them yesterday to do a two-page signing with witnesses in a city 108 miles away from me. Said they found me here and could not find anyone available in the area - ummmmm, there are 124 notaries listed here in or near the zip code for the signing - NOBODY was available???

They never mentioned a fee, but needless to say I turned it down - told them I’m nowhere near there, I’m 108 miles away.

I think it depends who’s asking for information & if the client agrees.
When I do third party general notary signings, “they” are my client, just like title or an attorney.

Usually the documents have a direct link to the company requesting. e.g. financial, medical, private purchase, etc. I confirm with the client what they are signing before the appointment, documents needed and my instructions.

You could say a signing agency has no direct interest in the documents either, they are just performing a service and checking that it is done properly by having you return everything to them. Do you know what they get paid? I don’t.

I’m not disagreeing with your thoughts on this, just showing another side of the coin. Yours seems a lot different than any third party requester I’ve had.

It is sad that people sometimes pay more unnecessarily. It’s also sad they sometimes receive poor notarial work. This can also be very costly!

Now that you know what you know counter offer. Everytime.

This company sends out that form for each signing. Every time I explain that I’m not going to stamp it and they say OK.

That’s not illegal to pay you less for what they charge. You think they work for free?

I’ve done a few signings for them and their fees are better, and they have always paid me within 3 days of completing the assignment.

Things were great until my last assignment on Nov 12th. My fee was increased due to the distance being farther than expected. They paid me the originally agreed upon amount and have been ignoring my calls and texts after their representative said they would fix the error. It’s only $25 but I earned it and I want it!

After this ordeal, I will NEVER take another assignment from them. They had to ruin a good relationship!

Don’t let them get away with it and keep calling. These companies are gangsters. So unethical. It seems to me that signing services on the whole are just horrible businesspeople.

Was your increased fee agreed upon before the assignment?

Just last night I received a text from them requesting my services in a town not far from here. The person texting me went by the name “Roe.” Just like you, a POA notarization request but when I text questions as to the attendees, crickets. Didn’t return answers to my questions.

My fishing/scam senses went on alert so I just blocked them from making contact with me ever.

I agree but doesn’t every signing service break the law?

Every time they hire me they say they found me online. They have no records that I’ve worked for them before. The last time they hired me they said the document was a settlement agreement. I asked for an explanation but got nothing. It turns out there were three documents and not one was a settlement agreement. Furthermore, they required witnesses and had none prepared. Not even the documents were there. This company just makes up random stuff as they go. I told them to remove me from their database. And that forum they ask you to stamp is annoying, especially since I tell them each time I’m not going to stamp it.

I have received assignments from Roe before and they have paid me within 3 business days. She is legit and not a scam.
