I just received a Snapdocs request for an assignment from First American Tiltle. New home build loan, 172 pgs with scan backs for $60.00. The appointment is in hour and half from now. Not close by. Are they serious??
They are. And if someone accepts that low price it will unfortunately set the standard. Not much we can do except hope that no one does it for $60… But more than likely some one will.
I’ve gotten several of these low offers from them on snap docs lately. I decline or just ignore the offer. I find it odd since they are clearly cutting out the signing service that they normally pay $150-$250. 172 pages is huge I’d say no but it is your call. It doesn’t seem possible to make any money…looks like you’d be paying them to do it. Best of luck sunny:
I took a mortgage deed which was 1 pg back November just before Thanksgiving. The offer was $50.00 and location was less than 3 miles away. I thought that would be a quick $50.00. Well I’m still waiting on my payment and/or payment. They want respond to any of my emails or calls. So, beware of those orders that seem to good to be true.
i have not see an order below 75 in the Seattle area. sometimes they even have signings in their office for 75. Sometimes they ask for document delivery. almost always the same 75 price tag.
Like right now. Im heading to their local title office for 75$ and no printing. and they keep the docs unless its for another office. this time they are sending a courier to delivery - not me!
I counter offered at $150. which I believe is appropriate for a large package. Of could did not get it. I do a single document for $60.00. I can’t really afford to leave the house for less than that. I have maintained my prices for the past five years. Unfortunately, due to the competition–as you all know–no raises in fees have happened. With gas prices so high now in CA, I could use an increase, but instead I just don’t travel as far. It’s a shame that this profession just isn’t respected. Instead we are being taking advantage of by SD and others. I wish the SOS, NNA would stick up for us, but we are on our own…
I used to do the loan modifications. They would overnight me the packet for signing. Now snapdocs is sending them offering $30!!! Plus you have to print!! It’s an insult. They’re short and quick but Fass usually offered $50 but always too my counter plus paid for witness if needed!!
