Interesting Newsletter from SnapDocs

76.2% of their signings have notary issues. Over half their signings have incorrectly signed documents.
If this doesn’t convince hiring party that the cheapest notary is not the best choice, I don’t know what will.

SHOCKER! (not . . .) Their fees are so abysmal that most understandably choose NOT to respond at all to the majority of their “offers” on SOs.

Concur :100: percent . . . and yet, the Title/Escrow Companies [T/ECs] continue to subcontract their Signing Orders [SOs] to that business entity. :woman_facepalming::woman_shrugging:

.

A Failure Rate of 76.2% is worse than dismal - it’s horrendous.

One would think the T/ECs would expect professionalism & high quality OR ELSE take their SOs elsewhere.

Truly a conundrum.

:swan:

About 25% of signers complain about the notary. Crazy way to run a business. You would think that the LO, who has worked very long & hard to get ‘to the table’ would be screaming bloody blue and insist on hiring an experienced notary with a good track record.

Prime example of faulty delegation of responsibility. Even Kermit knows better!

They are getting what they pay for. When I started, a company you’d never signed for would actually call up and ask a few questions to see if you had any knowledge at all. Those calls used to give me such angst. I’m not sure they even do that any more.

Where did you get your numbers?

From a Newsletter they e-mail to subscribers. They are more transparent than most. Except when it comes to sending out offers… Lot of missing important details on those.

Good question ~ fact checking for fake numbers :grinning:

I would say the numbers are completely accurate.

The less error the less scans are required.

They will close up shop if they dont sstart paying atrention. Inget irritated with the notifications when all.i get is lowball offers from companies ive never heard of. I stopped waasting my time sending counteroffers.

That’s a rather high percentage of complaints. Do you know exactly what they’re complaining about? I’d be curious to know. The only thing I can really imagine is that the notary was late for the appointment or couldn’t answer their questions, or something with some relevance attached to it. I mean…I doubt they were complaining that the notary wore jeans to the appointment or something like that. They wouldn’t know about errors until after the fact if they had to meet the notary a 2nd time.

I posted the same thing on NotRot and a rep of SD (Casey Colip) responded with more clarity. Seems that only .09 percent of all signings have errors… and the percentages I showed is what they stated. Re-calculating with previously undisclosed info: roughly 76.2 of .09 are errors due to the notary. Not as horrifying as it looked at first. (Thankfully)

I hear complaints from signers about a previous notary visit. Things like she didn’t put her phone down, she rushed us, she never told us what we were signing. She was rude. I’ve even heard she parked on our grass and complained about our free range chickens.

Sometimes we think we’re being totally reasonable but not everyone agrees I guess.

My son purchased home in NJ and VA. VA signing very professional Notary. NJ Notary he and his wife were amazed and lack of professionalism from that Notary. On her cell phone yelling at her kids, smacking gum, pointed to docs and said sign here etc., when they asked questions her response was “I dunno”. When people sign with the unprofessionals makes rest of us look bad. Those with poor performance probably don’t read this forum and just don’t care.

Arichter: What company are you talking about?

Did you see the title of the original post “Newsletter from SNAPDOCS”? Pretty much answers the question.

In response to your rather “curt” answer to my question - since I’ve never experienced that with any SnapDocs work order (except for one company), I was thinking you were talking about a particular company. But thanks anyway for taking the time to answer!

I would never complain about free range chickens!

I might ask if I could buy some eggs

I am lucky to live in an area that I am usually the only qualified notary available. On occasion an new notary will come in and undercut me but they never last long.
