Is $85 ok for a Refi closing?

Those of you how get these large sums (over $150), what state are you in?

I’m commissioned in WI and MN

I’ve only been an agent since October 2020. I have about 120 signing under my belt. I’m excitedly waiting to get to the grownup money. lol

Mobile Notary and Mobile Signing Agent are not the same. Please make sure you aren’t restricting yourself based on thinking in terms of notary vs signing agent.

Where can I find a list of non payers?! I’m new, didn’t know that was a thing?

No. Charge them $200 minimum. If you look on the settlement statement, they are charging the borrower, for example, a $200 notary fee yet only paying you $85. That’s ridiculous. I’m working on presenting this argument to the secretary of state because this is not fair being that we are risking out live witnessing these signing and not being properly compensated since the title company/lender is taking a cut for the services we provide. Remember, they need us more than we need them.

it’s entirely up to you

know your worth or your work/ services
consider your time, paper supplies and travel
calculate how much it cost you for your travel, office supplies etc
don’t break even, you need to make a profit

i would ask for atleast 100-200
if they do more then lets say 144 pages i would ask for more

if theres scan backs ask for more

thank you for sharing

for me NO GO I dont leave my driveway for less than 100. I have a years experience. I will.say rates are DECREASING cause agents will do a 40.00 refi etc. None of us can make money when newbies accept this low pay.
