Is SnapDocs worth it?

90% of my signings come from SigningOrder 9% from referrals and 1% from others like CX Choice NotaryGo etc.

I’ve gotten maybe 4-5 SnapDocs offers in the past 3 months each of which was a pathetic and insulting offer. I think one was a 200 pages refi for $40-$50 and I believe on. Saturday. I did counter their offer. But wasn’t selected for.

I’m happy with SO/NotaryResume. I have a handful of regular signing services and title companies who call me frequently however I want to take as many signings as I possibly can.

I keep hearing SnapDocs is the gold standard. My profile is fully filled out and I log in once a week to stay active. Is there some magic code or mythical quest I’m missing to get those sweet sweet good signing opportunities?

It doesn’t cost anything so what is the problem with being on another platform that can in fact give you work?

Thanks. I could have phrased the original question in a different way.

I was more asking if it’s worth trying to get more signings thru.

Snapdocs is not what it was 5 years ago. It used to provide me with a lot of business but not anymore. I only get occasional offers from them now.

You right Steve, years ago I received most of my signing from Snapdocs, but not anymore. I get a couple of closing a month maybe if the price is right.

I am on I think the last time I counted a dozen platforms. I get work from all of them. Snapdocs doesn’t pay what it used to because there are so many notaries accepted low fees in my area. But I do still take order from that site when they pay right.

Snapdocs sends me orders that are not in my Counties for very low fees. The mileage takes more than half of their offers to me.

Same here. Mileage takes up their pathetic fees.

Snapdocs is definitely worth it. Snapdocs is a steady paycheck. Since they have required almost all their vendors to be on Vendor Pay I now enjoy deposits ever 2 weeks. I usually get 8-10 a week just from them. Once you are a preferred notary for some of the vendors, the work is steady. They are about 1/2 of my signings.

I believe i am lucky I recieve so much work sinice im in a rural area. So all my platforms usually call me first or straight text me for assignments. If they cant reach me then i will usually see it go over mass text. I finally figured out that there are 2 rounds of texts that go out. Those to the preferred notaries and if those do not take it then to the general notaries. One of my platforms told me about it.

Negotiate with them. I do all the time. I will leave a comment that “ This is 1hr and 22mins away. I will do this for $175”.Usually you can get half or more of those or they will counter offer.

I had wondered about that. In my county there are a LOT of notaries. But I go to counties that have no resources. It’s just a lot of driving.

I’m in a larger city with a lot of established notaries and I’m a novice who has only been doing side jobs for about a year. Plus I can only do notary work on nights and weekends because I still work a “regular job.” I was getting almost nothing from SnapDocs for while but this month I’m get a bunch. Most are a fairly long drive. I always counter with what my time is worth and usually get it. I have received a lot of notifications of jobs from SO but they are either so far away I would need to charge an insane amount of money or they are during my regular job hours. I have had one job so far this year from SO. But I have gotten three this week from SnapDocs. The January and February was completely dead with almost no offers let alone signings. I know SnapDocs makes a big deal about response rate. Which is really annoying for those 2-3 hour away jobs or jobs that are in the middle of the day

For me it feels like the luck of the draw when I get anything. But I am thankful it seems to be steady.

SnapDocs sends a ton of low offers to everyone, so you’re not alone. If SO and your direct clients are keeping you busy, you’re probably already in a better spot than most.

In my area of CA I only get low offers from them. I got tired of all the lowballing and gave up on them. You might just stay on their site for exposure. Remember they are a tech signing service that skims off a large portion of our fee. They are really a service just for title companies because they no longer want to try to schedule SAs for their customers who do not want to come into the office to sign. It is easier for them just to put in a request to Snapdocs I guess. If notaries wanted to claw back some of their money that tech and others has taken from us we should start by boycotting them!

@manishsharma.true Accurate statement! :tada:

It totally drives me crazy. I constantly get offers from Snap Docs. I respond. Never get one. What is the procedure? They text, I respond, do I still enter the info on their platform even though I didn’t get the order? And one more thing. Constantly telling me I have to change my password. Did this 4 times in a 3 month period. This is the app on the phone. Then I have to enter the verified code on their website to sign in. Does anyone else have this problem?

They do have passwords expire in 14 days usually. I have face ID saved. They seem to tier out orders and sometimes we’re not the first tier of notaries to get the notification. You just have to be fast as lightning unfortunately.

I have been replying for several months and have not received one order. Their request comes, for example , at 1:00 pm. time zones are different, and wants everything done with in 3 hours. Printing, signing, scanbacks and drop offs. Plus, I never know if I received the order so I keep going back and forth checking my messages. Seems quite stressful if you ask me. Just received another request at 1:15 eastern time still have not received an answer and I I do receive an answer, not familiar with the Snapdoc platform.

It’s unfortunate you have to be the fastest replier to get a snapdocs order. That’s just how it seems to be. If you get an order they’ll text you so you don’t have to check back on the website. If you are set up to receive offers via text, you will receive the job assignment notice via text also.
