Yesterday I had a 209 page reverse mortgage split signing. I was extremely nervous about it as it was my fist time doing it. I allotted a time of two hours to complete as I heard that it can take a long time to do. Well to my surprise I was able to get through it in an hour and I woke this morning to a ding at 4:45am on my phone with a text from the signer. It feels good to be appreciated and acknowledged for my hard work.
I’m assuming the signing service sent her a survey email.

Congratulations by the way. Yep, they actually ask client to rate the notary after closing!

Keep it up!
And by the way, don’t be afraid to value your expertise.
Today I finally got another local in-house closing approved. It took over two weeks to go back and forth on fee negotiation. They want me onboard but one fee was not agreeable with me. I asked them to increase not knowing how difficult that was. I signed the request for one fee change, it went to the president of title co to approve and sign, then it went to legal department, then it came back to me to sign the revised fee schedule, then it went back to the president to sign again, then went back to legal again. Dang. Finally I’m officially in and with the fee
Schedule we mutually agreed on. This is for in-house closing so the fee schedule I agreed to and signed for is final!!! Can’t negotiate anymore.
Oops, I guess I was the first person to disagree with their fee schedule and had to go though all the hoops to change. Oops:).
