Marketing approach by LSS

I got this letter from a place called Loan Signing Solutions. I know, that name doesn’t exactly give me the warm fuzzies. At first I thought of Loan Signing Systems a total different company..

Anyway, the company started out with an approach of, “One of our valued escrow officer clients,” so, good, right? Then they made a bunch of promises, even saying at the end, “At Loan Signing Solutions, we prioritize notaries like you, ensuring a seamless experience from administrative hassles.” So, great, right? Not so fast.

The catch is, the company is charging a registration fee and an onboarding fee:

  • One-time Setup Fee: $50
  • Annual Renewal Fee: $25

I found a disclaimer on the company’s website: “Please note that due to the nature of our services, as well as the time and costs incurred for processing and verification through third-party screening services, onboarding fees are non-refundable."

Have any of you guys joined Loan Signing Solutions? If so, what has your experience been? Honestly, in my ten years as a loan signing agent, I haven’t had to pay anything to receive loan signing orders. Plus, all the signing services are “middlemen”, they all take a cut of the signing fees. Of course this is a pass for me. I am just curious and wanted to see if anyone has used this company.

I might have the first year because that first year I signed up everywhere. But I didn’t renew because the fee never resulted in assignments.

@cfletcher Just curious . . . have you already reviewed the multiple threads within the Notary Cafe database on this business entity?

The threads that follow were created within the last few months:

I must admit, I didn’t check. Guess I can be added to that list.

I don’t pay for these companies/lists. It has been my experience that it is a waste of time and money.

@cfletcher - I joined (it’s my first year!) and just crickets with the site after signing up and making payment. Could have used that $50 towards toner or paper.

@acenotarysvcs Thank You :tada: for sharing your direct experience with this business entity. Your post will be helpful to nearly ALL Notary Cafe members. :dizzy:

Thanks for sharing your experience with that company, really appreciate it. Hopefully, others will read this and it’ll help them.

Outside of Scheduling companies my greatest source of notary work is with Notary Cafe.
