Hello gents and lady Notaries.
First and foremost I hope everyone has stayed safe and sane during this Corona pandemic.
How does everyone feel about the new CDC lifting masks requirements. The new recommendations from the federal agency still call for masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but they are expected to help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools and other venues. Is anyone getting any throwback from borrowers not wanting to wear a mask or keep a distance during signings. I have been getting throwback from borrowers just because they’re half or fully vaccinated.
Does anyone still require borrowers to be fully masked and distance? If borrowers are not required to wear masks now that CDC has lifted the mask rule. How is anyone handling this when you call borrowers to confirm appointments?
Id like to hear everyone’s thoughts and ideas.
Thanks Lilly
I’ve been fully vaccinated for months. But I’m in Southern California where people wear masks while driving their cars. Blue state or not the masks are quickly coming off but for you the notary it’s best to wear your mask in and only remove it with permission from the signers.
I always wear my mask and I don’t plan on removing it just yet it’s too early on to be making that decision.
My concern is when people don’t want to wear a mask after their first shot and immediately after their second shot. Plus receiving the vaccine does not guarantee you won’t catch COVID.
I have been fully VACCINATED since February and I also volunteer at the Vaccine Clinic. We are no longer required to wear mask in our state. Being fully vaccinated does not mean that you can’t catch the virus. I ALWAYS wear a mask and I don’t require signers to wear a mask… usually when I show up with mine they will ask if I want them to wear one and I say please this should take less than an hour, I have everyone to fill out the health questionnaire, we sanitize our hands before and after the signing.
