Hello everyone. Just this past week I’ve recieved emails
From the NNA- Find a Notary and it will state they need a notary with there emails and some times a callback number. The only reason I think and feel a scam and wants to commit fraud, they ask is it ok that I send over documents so that you can review and let me me know what I need in advance. Then they send over either Zoom link or some docusign link. These people are crazy. But anyway I just say sorry I don’t click on links you can take a picture of document They will email you back and say did you take a look, after I stated I don’t click on links. Plus they pick a lot of different forms they need notarized. It’s just weird. Oh one last thing. It will say you can’t use a mobile phone only laptop.
Certainly sounds like a scam. Please report it to the NNA.

Over the past two days, I have received eight very similar notary requests, with six of them arriving on 06/20 alone. The wording in each message was nearly identical and somewhat awkward, typically beginning with phrases such as, “I hope this finds you well” or “Hello, I hope you are doing well.”
I contacted the NNA regarding these inquiries and was informed that it may take a few business days to receive a response. In the meantime, I wanted to share what I’ve observed.
One request included a list of documents that allegedly needed notarization. The combination of documents did not appear consistent with a typical transaction and raised concerns for me. At first glance, it seemed to resemble a refinance package, but it also included what appeared to be a deed transferring ownership. That combination would certainly prompt me to ask several additional questions before proceeding.
Based on the similarities among these requests, the vague nature of the information provided, and other inconsistencies, I strongly suspect these are scam attempts. I simply want fellow notaries to be aware and exercise caution.
I also found it interesting that one of the inquiries appeared to know that I am authorized to perform RON notarizations, even though I do not list that information on my NNA profile. The information may have been obtained from my website or another online source.
Lets stay safe out there!!

Yes, it’s a scam. It’s unfortunate especially coming from such a reputable site. So many notaries have reported that once you click on the link, it attaches malware to your computer to gain access to your personal information.
