The client could simply text you an image of the document for Review & Discussion.

Certainly wouldn’t move forward with a Zoom call in this type of instance.

In addition, there would be a Fee for the preparation time & the call duration interval as well.

Repeated requests for video call

I have received at least 3 requests in the past 2 weeks from someone wanting to have a video call to discuss their document. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a new scam? The first couple I dismissed immediately as they felt off, the 3rd one I am unsure. Just wondering if this is some new scam? NNA- Find a Notary

Hello everyone. Just this past week I’ve recieved emails From the NNA- Find a Notary and it will state they need a notary with there emails and some times a callback number. The only reason I think and feel a scam and wants to commit fraud, they ask is it ok that I send over documents so that you can review and let me me know what I need in advance. Zoom and Google Meet requests

I have been receiving requests to “review documents” via Zoom or Google Meet from potential clients. When I ask why or refuse and try to schedule an appointment, they say that there is some requirement to see me first. Is this a thing? I don’t remember seeing anything like this in recent legal updates. Has anyone had requests like this?

Strange email

I have been getting emails from gentlemen asking me if I could notarize tax documents for them. I tell them that I would be more than happy to help them. They all email me back wanting to have a zoom meeting with me before we meet. I do not agree with them because I do not see the need in doing this. Has anyone else had this issue? Scam emails

In the past few days I have received 2 separate emails with almost identical wording. One from a Noah Gallego and another from Debra Rosenthal. I have pasted them here. Be cautious. Scam texts asking to zoom

Have you guys received scam texts asking you for notary services and prices? When you ask them how many documents, and zip code instead of answering the tell you they want to have a zoom call with you to feel safe and go over things? There’s nothing to go over and no I’m not getting on a video call with strangers just because. It sounds like a scam being that its my 3rd person in a week. Always a male.
