Notary Rotary Membership

Quick Question.
Is Notary Rotary Membership worth it? Has anyone used them? Are there much orders that comes through their portal?

I’ve been a member there since I became commissioned in 2021. Never have paid any fee. Never have received any orders.

Paid membership gives a discount on education needed for renewal or the initial commission (or maybe it’s free). But they only provide education for a few states (maybe it’s just California). Paid membership came with a free background check, but the NNA has persuaded so many title companies and signing services to only accept theirs that the Notary Rotary one is not worth the trouble. I don’t remember if there is a discount on supplies.

I’ve been a member of Notary Rotary since 2006. That membership has proven invaluable – not so much for receiving signing offers but for the immense wealth of information posted by our fellow members and for the discounts on supplies. Keep in mind, NotRot is not a portal/platform like SnapDocs or Signing Order. It is more a forum for exchanging information (actually 3 forums - Discuss Work, Just Politics and Leisure with the main one being Discuss Work).

In the 19 years of being a member, to my knowledge, I’ve received approximately 2 dozen signings originating from a hiring party using the “Find a Notary” feature there. There may have been more but sometimes a forget to ask new hiring entities where they found me. One does get higher exposure by being a Premier member rather than a Basic member.

Thank you (yolicue, ashton, and johnsonps306) for the information. I’ve been a notary and member since 2021. I’ve never paid for it as well. However, I was wondering if it would make a difference if I pay for this service. I’ve always used NNA for education. Their are so friendly and informative. It is understood now that it is “not a portal/platform like SnapDocs or Signing Order.”

Does anyone know how to look at Signing Order reviews?

When looking at different databases, it’s a good idea to consider what they can offer your business. The best ones give you access to notaries and related professionals nationwide and also provide a way for you to earn money. Notaries can also find potential clients through them. Other features of a good database include directories of title companies and signing services. Additionally, some databases may offer discounts on membership for new or returning clients. I personally believe joining these databases is a good way to market yourself. I’ve actually gotten clients because of these databases, which is why they are part of my business marketing budget. I think every notary should do their research and only join databases that they find valuable and can help to their business.
