Hello Iprez,
I never print on both sides, especially the signed copies. Everone wants to save paper and time, bit if u print on both sides of the borrower’s copies, you may need to remove a page if there is a mistake on one or more of the lender’s pack.
As far as printing on all legal size, ask the lender if that is ok. I have done that before when I did not have 2 tray printer or I ran out of letter size paper, and the lender said that was ok.
Hello there, I agree with Chrisparreira_mobile. Have you sent in any docs printed front and back? I don’t think the client would have to pay for that.
Also, if you shop well, paper is not that expensive, if you are thinking of toner and you have a laser printer, be sure and by the xtended use. That helps a bit. I recommend that you don’t cut corners on quality. The majority of all printing orders will be on letter size paper. It will cost you more to print all legal. If you don’t have a dual tray printer, use the page separator. Then you can print your legals on legal size and your letters on letter size.
Thank you for your suggestion.
No I have not and just wanted to ask.
Thank you for the info.
I do but I always ask the Borrowers is it ok for them, before this slow down I have always Avg 65 or more signings a mo, At this time companies are trying to keep most of their money so they are looking for new notaries to pay less because they will except less, just to get their feet wet, I did it at first, FASS took my white glove because I raise my fees, that was no problem, I can’t deposit gloves, not in banks at lease
Hi Linda, please don’t ever print front and back. Ever.
I’ve never known of a signing agency to send you documents printed front and back. You should simply print the documents in the same manner requested by the signing agency. If the packet requires a combination of letter and legal sized documents, then that’s the manner in which they expect to receive them.
This can cause you problems down the road for you as a signing agent, so it’s better just to follow the instructions which were required for the assignment. Personally I do more direct work than signing agency, however I have seen in the past where the instructions to the notary state, your fee will be docked as much as $25.00 for failing to print on the appropriate sized paper.
Wishing you many successful signing.
Print double sided? Only if you enjoy being told to go get an entire doc set re-signed properly, at your expense. Single sided only, period. No question about it.
