How do people find a witness or two for jobs that come across the signing service? When there are only a few hours, I don’t want to say I am available if I can not find a witness. Would love to hear how others do this.

Most members express that they find it difficult/NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to locate the Search Function in order to access the wealth of information available within the database that has been generously contributed by your sagacious fellow business owners over the years . . .

Personally I do not take jobs that require a witness unless the signer is taking care of it.

@cNsa5 No I did not find that thread, honestly I find it hard to find certain topics as I am still new on this platform. Please feel free to remove it if you have that capability. I will go with the advice of @johnsonps306 and just not take Loan Signing jobs if a witness is needed unless the signer can provide.

That is the process that the majority of us follow for General Notary Work [GNW] and for Professional Signing Agent [PSA] work as well.
Finding witnesses for any type of signing is an issue for some notaries but a non-issue for me. It’s the borrower’s responsibility to find witnesses and many times they do get a friend, neighbor, co-worker or other disinterested third party. Sometimes they don’t want to be bothered, at all.
Notary Cafe can be used to solicit witnesses. The borrower can be referred to this site’s notary directory and put in their zip code to find notaries local to them who may be willing to act as just a disinterested third party for a nominal fee of $25 per witness (to compensate them for their time and gas). The borrower pays this fee directly to the witnesses, not the notary. Easy to do for those who wish to do it.
