I’ve completed a little over 40 Ron signings so far this year. Mostly US signings but a few international.
My business partner and I have spent a ton of time getting super proficient with the technology, not only for us, but also for non-tech savvy signers logging in and signing.
Florida, where I’m located requires 2 witnesses for seller deed signings.I can act as one but am required to have 1 other person. Though it can be anybody I do strongly prefer other notaries.
If anyone here is interested in RON signings and would like the opportunity to see how they are done, as well as earning $10 as a witness please feel free to reach out.(I’m not making any money on this, this is what my platform charges for a witness from their notary network)
If you don’t feel comfortable being a witness, but you’d like to see a RON appointment live, I have the ability to add an observer.
At this time I can only have active commissioned notaries in any state.
please let me know if your interested or if there’s any questions I can answer
Congratulations on moving forward into the new world of technology. I’m currently a Remote Online Notary (RON) and complete over 1,000 signings every 30 days. I’d be interested to know which platform you decided to move forward with and what influenced your choice.
I am a Louisiana Notary Public and am interested in RON signings. I would love to be a witness and see what it is about. I am trying to figure out what platform to go with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
I’m a commissioned Notary Public and Remote Online Notary (RON) in the State of Texas, and I’m also NNA certified. I’ve been expanding my RON experience and would welcome the opportunity to observe a session or assist as a witness when needed. It sounds like a great way to continue sharpening proficiency with the platforms while supporting other notaries.
Good Morning Max!! I have my RON COMMISSION!! I am interested in working with you and learning how to get business!! My name is Nina Lewis!! I’m in Texas!! I been a notary for over 20 years!! Just got RON ABOUT A YEAR AGO!! My # is 832-217-6968!! Please call me!! Been a member of notary cafe for over 20 years!! I’m very experienced in closings!!
Max, as an online notary, I want to clarify something for those reading this discussion. The suggestion that a platform pays $10.00 per witness does not reflect the reality most of us experience in the RON space.
Since your initial statement, there hasn’t been any follow-up information to support that claim. Without specifics, it can easily create confusion for notaries who are trying to understand how these platforms actually operate.
If I’m mistaken, please clarify by sharing which platform you are referring to and what your direct experience has been. Providing that context would add real value to the conversation and help other notaries make informed decisions.
I am certified to do RON but I have yet to get started. I am also in Florida and would be a witness for you and would love to know what platform you use and how to get started.
RON gets way easier once you’ve done a few - honestly the biggest hurdle is just walking signers through the tech. Having a patient notary on the other end makes a huge difference.
I appreciate the sharing and congratulations on the success! I am a RON notary out of Texas! I would love the opportunity to be a witness or conduct a RON signing!
Inviting folks to attend live notary sessions as observers for training purposes? Interesting. Isn’t there an expectation of privacy in Florida? State and federal privacy laws strictly prohibit notaries from doing that here in Washington state – whether it is RON or in person. Maybe your notary laws are different.. but this would be red flag for me.
There is no such thing as an “observer” on a RON platform. However, there are occasional security checks conducted randomly by auditors to ensure that proper procedures and professional conduct are being followed. During these checks, no documents are visible or reviewed—only the video feed is monitored.
I was responding to OP’s invitation to include people as observers in his live RON sessions. But if you are saying that inviting others to attend a live RON session as observers is NOT an option, then this is a non-issue.
