Scammers are contacting notaries asking them to join them in fake Zoom consultations related to “signing appointments,” “verification,” or “training.”
These links may compromise your:
• Email accounts
• Passwords
• Banking information
• Device security
• Clients’ personal information
Fortunately, I recognized the scam and did not fall victim to it.
Please be careful:
• Do not click unknown links
• Verify appointments directly with the hiring company
• Do not download unknown software …
So I am a RON, and I keep getting random people who want to “Zoom” ( so they can discuss the paperwork) before doing the RON. Which I am sure is some kind of scam, and I’m wondering if anyone else is getting these texts?
So I have had 3 so far with different scenarios. I am thinking it’s the same person (scammer), as they have been shortly after each other. Please tell me what the scam is if you know. I am so afraid of some naked person on the other side or something like that. LOL

I received a request for my notary services that was asking me typical questions. He wouldn’t let me know how many signatures there were. After I addressed his questions this was his next email request:

I received two different text inquiries from the same 470 area code number:
